I just came across the Proenza Shouler Pre-Fall 09 collection and the Band of Outsiders Spring 09 collection, and I must say they are to die for! So I just thought I'd share with the rest of the world. Below are some of my favorites from both the designer's collections.

It is no secret that fashion trends tend to recycle themselves, think eightes leggings and high waisted pants, but just enough time has passed for the nineties to make their return. One of my favorite staples from the 90's, giving homage to 1970's punk, has to be the combat boot. But how to wear this look without looking like Curt Kobain? Take notes from model Agyness Deyn and Doc Marten poster girl, Daisy Lowe, who both walk to the beat of their old style drums. Aggy pairs them with and girly dresses, while Daisy keeps it simple, letting her neon kicks take center stage, pairing it with black pants and a vintage tee.

Studded Vintage Combat Boot

I know I have mentioned these previously in my post about studs, but I really do adore these boots, they are the epitome of the perfect combat boot in my eyes. Vintage leather combat boots with brass or silver stud detail throughout. Stud design and laces may vary as they are vintage and done by hand.

Yoko Lace Up Boots

For those of you looking not to break the bank, like myself, here is a cheaper version, which are one sale for only 30.24! Mad for Plaid

Hitting the runway in such styles as mini dresses, shirts, pants and outerwear, plaid is deffinately in for the season. In different shapes & sizes, and ranging in colors such as bright blue and red to more nuetral browns and blacks. Some designers featuring plaid in theyre shows include Ralph Lauren, Dolce & Gabbana, Luella Bartley, Charlotte Ronson and House of Holland just to name a few of my top picks. One thing popularly shown is mixing prints. If your a risktaker with fashion I think this look is great. My favorite way to wear this trend is with a bit of grunge appeal, menswear type tops and shirtdresses that pair perfectly with boots.

Aside from just runway plaid has been seen everywhere from topshop to urban outfitters. Now I have to tell you, when I first saw the Fall 2008 Lookbook for Topshop my jaw dropped. It was literally filled with outfits I could only imagine were in my wardrobe. I really wish I owned every article of clothing envolved. Every single look was flawless, but for now I will just be showing the outfits involving some sort of plaid.

Lace, Leather & Legs Oh My!

Ranging from bright primaries, lace & leather, and all the way to edgy webs and textures no leg will be left uncovered this fall.

Personally, I am one who simply adores legwear (I pretty much live in knee socks & sheer black stockings)

Some trends in legwear this season include the very popular leather legging, sheer black tights (as seen at Anna Sui, Oscar De La Renta, Chanel, and Lanvin), lace, textured and bright opaque colors.

Legwear is deffinately this seasons must have wardrobe accessory. Below are some of my favorite legwear, ranging from leggings to tights and socks.

Opaque Tights

These lovely tights are a great deal starting at 10.50. You can also purchase two for 7.50 or three for an outstanding price of only 5.50! My favorite leg accessory of all time, has to be the "leather" legging. These have been seen on everyone from MaryKate Olsen to Victoria Beckham. The reason I love these so much is their versatility. They can be dressed up with heels for a more polished look or dressed down with a white tee and sneakers for a casual look.

Stripe Thigh-High Sock

available in 18 different colors and 3 packs these clasic sport socks, now with a cute twist, are great in my opinion. Pair them with shorts, sneakers, and a deep v neck tee and your ready to go!

Stud Muffin

One of my favorite fall trends this year has to be the pyramid stud. Pyramid studs were once the domain of Sex Pistols and wannabes who shopped at New York's favorite punk kid hangouts. These days, you're much more likely to see them on the runways of Burberry and Marc Jacobs, lending a bit of edge to otherwise-polished ensembles.

To make this look less teenage rebel and more fashion foward try pairing something studded with something feminine such as bright colors or a floral print.

As always, the key is to wear your look with confidence…
a bit of that punk attitude won’t hurt either. Rock on!
